Week Ahead: 15 Dec 2025
Oracle Corp, the AI Bubble Barometer Halted Markets' Advance

Short Term:
S&P 500 (SPX): We expect index to remain range bounded

The index remains range-bound within the well-defined consolidation band between 6,633 and 6,925, with recent price action stalling just below the upper resistance. Upside momentum has cooled near resistance, suggesting supply is still active at higher levels, as FFI indicator shows improving but uneven flow.

Tactical Trade:
With index continues to be in a confined range, tactical longs remain preferred on dips above 6,700, targeting a retest of 6,925, with stops below 6,633.

Directional Probability (AI-Assisted):
Bullish (break above 6,925): 30%
Rangebound (6,633–6,925): 56%
Bearish (break below 6,633): 14%

Hang Seng Index (HSI): We expect index to remain range bounded

The HSI remains confined within its broad multi-month consolidation range between 25,150 and 27,383, with recent price action stabilising around the mid-range pivot near 25,690. Despite the latest rebound, follow-through remains limited and upside attempts continue to fade below 26,893, indicating persistent supply at higher levels. The FFI indicator shows marginal improvement but remains inconsistent.

Tactical Trade:
Short-term traders may consider tactical dip-buys near 25,150–25,300, targeting a rebound toward 25,690–26,000, with tight stops below 25,150.

Directional Probability (AI-Assisted):
Bullish (toward 27,383): 22%
Rangebound (25,150–26,893): 56%
Bearish (below 25,150): 22%

Straits Times Index (STI): Cautious Bullish view towards 4,690

The STI has broken above the 4,575 resistance with a visible gap-up move, signalling improving bullish momentum after a period of consolidation. The ability to hold above this former resistance would mark a constructive shift in market structure.

Tactical Trade:
Short-term traders can look for buy-on-pullback opportunities toward 4,560–4,575, targeting 4,690, with stops below 4,520.

Directional Probability (AI Assisted):
• Bullish (towards 4,690): 58%
• Rangebound (4,460–4,575): 32%
• Bearish (towards 4,372): 10%

Week Ahead: US Indices Momemtum in Question

Week Ahead: 10 March 2025 Key event this week was  U.S. indices technically closed below the key 30-week (or 150-day) moving average . For the upward trend to continue, the indices need to reclaim levels above the moving averages. Remaining below the 30-week (or 150-day) moving average could indicate that the upward trend has reversed downward. However, in the short term, we expect a rebound as the indices trade near their respective support levels. Medium Term: S&P 500 (SPX):  The S&P 500 broke below its key upward trendline, which had been established since October 2023. In the longer term, we expect the index to trade sideways or move in a downward direction. In the short term, we anticipate the S&P 500 will find support at the 5,700 level and could rebound to test the 5,860 and then the 5,966 resistance zones. Straits Times Index (STI):  The technical trend remains bullish. We maintain a constructive outlook while staying vigilant for any sig...
